Zavida Celebrates 7 Years of Organic Coffee

Why are we so excited this month? Well, we have a lot to celebrate! 7 years ago, a new type of Zavida Coffee was born. Sure, organic coffee was nothing new at the time, but it was for us, and we wanted to make it more than just another coffee.
Charles had a vision; to roast the most well-rounded organic coffee ever made. He set about trying different coffee beans, different roast temperatures and lengths, and even different brewers to find the recipe for a cup of coffee that we could enjoy everyday.
The result was Organica and it has since become known as a "coffee for the professional". A coffee blend that captures the best from around the world. Charles roasted it just a touch dark, but not too dark as to overpower the flavor of the certified beans leaving them incredibly smooth with absolutely no aftertaste.
Organica is both USDA and Canadian Organic Certified. Simply put, it is grown without the use of any synthetic pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers on special isolated farms monitored by Quality Assurance International, an accredited certifying agent. It is also free of any genetically modified organisms and comes with a host of other awesome goodness.
To add some icing to the coffee cake, Organica is also 100% Rainforest Alliance Certified™ which monitors and enforces a host of stringent environmental sustainability standards on the coffee farms while providing for those who make harvesting this coffee possible.
