Due to new regulations and significant border issues, we have paused all shipments to our U.S. customers effective immediately. If you have questions, please contact our support team at hello@zavida.com.
While grind size depends on your coffee maker, the brewing ratio is the same: for each cup of cold, fresh water (measured using the coffee pot), add one tablespoon of ground coffee to the filter. One cup of water, one scoop of ground coffee.
Yes. However, we recommend regular, non-flavoured coffees for use in espresso machines to avoid flavour transfer. Darker roast beans can be more oily, so we suggest light or medium roasts for espresso machines.

Yes. Caffeine content varies by variety, roast, and brewing. We use only high-quality Arabica beans, which have less caffeine than Robusta. Darker roasts typically have slightly lower caffeine, though the difference is minimal. Hotter water and finer grinds extract more caffeine. Zavida coffee brewed at 56 g (2 oz) per pot yields ~79 mg of caffeine per 8 oz cup on average.
All Zavida coffee is gluten-free. Our 100% Arabica coffees and all flavourings used in our flavoured coffees contain no genetically modified ingredients (GMOs) and will soon be officially non-GMO certified.
No. There are no allergens—including nut products—in any of our regular or flavoured coffees.
Yes. Our facility is certified Kosher by the Kashruth Council of Canada. All our fresh roasted coffees are certified Kosher and feature the COR 444 symbol.

No. We freshly roast 100% Arabica coffee and package it immediately to maintain freshness.

Coffee does not “expire,” but it has a “Best Before” date for peak flavour and aroma. Our 2 lb, 12 oz, and single-serve cups display this date on the bottom. Oxygen, light, and heat degrade freshness; store coffee in airtight containers away from heat and sunlight.
